What is Dsgn For Us?

DSGN FOR US is a creative movement originated in 2019 by graphic designer Natalia Padilla. It is a blend of design, community and education. Our projects are center in humanities, finances and nutrition integrated with art and design. Students approach every project with imagination and logic while becoming motivated to experiment with their own creative freedom. DSGN FOR US interactive experiences are simple enough for a child to understand but interesting enough to keep an adult engage. Our projects connect on a human level, empowering the learner to believe in themselves and become more self-sufficient. These one of a kind creative workshops integrate every lesson with breathing exercises, curiosity, words of affirmation and play.


What projects are coming next?

During November and December 2022 Dsgn for us will be providing free art workshops center in three different drawing techniques: the grid, blind contour and gesture drawing. More information will be available under Community Arts Program. For 2023 we will be working on project ‘LETTY’ and ‘Glue, paper, scissors’ more details coming soon! Is Dsgn For Us a nonprofit?

At the moment we do not have a 501.C but we are looking for pro-bono lawyers that can help with the paperwork to become officially a nonprofit, this would allow us to apply for bigger grants. For now, thanks to the sponsorship of Fractured Atlas all your donations are tax deductible. Technically we do operate as a nonprofit.


Who sponsors your projects?

The City of Dallas Office of Arts and Culture has honored us with seven consecutive grants that have covered for over 50% of the cost of each project. We also have volunteers, donors and we design occasional products that help us with the cost of every project. Please consider sending a donations that is tax deductible. How can an organization become a recipient for a future your projects?

We apply to two grants every year through the city of Dallas, to be consider as a recipient you need to be located in a low income sector in Dallas. Email us at dsgnforus@gmail.com so we can collaborate with you and create an artistic project that would benefit the community.


Can we hire you for an art workshop even if we are not located in a low income sector in Dallas?

ABSOLUTELY! Our founder has nine years experience in graphic design, illustration and advertising, feel free to contact Natalia Padilla to dsgnforus@gmail.com we can collaborate with you in creating a new project, or bring something from our portfolio project and re-adapt it based on your audience’s needs.


Is LOCAL 'buy a book gift a book' still happening?

Yes! LOCAL ‘buy a book gift a book’ is still happening. Even though our energy is focused in new projects, we still donate books based on your donations or purchases made on LOCAL.
